The International Community School, Abuja is a private school
founded in 1998 with a vision to provide quality international
education to both the expatriate and Nigerian community. The
school is known for its warm family atmosphere, strong
Christian ethos, multi-cultural exposure, and commitment to
the development of the whole child. The school currently
serves 365 students from 36 countries.
Classes are available for students from play group (2 yrs. of age by September) through 12th grade.
The school is fully accredited locally and has been awarded
full accreditation status by the Council of International
Schools (CIS) and
Middle States Association (MSA). ICS is
also a member of the Association of International Schools in Africa
(AISA) and Principals’ Training Center for International
School Leadership (PTC).
The school is governed by an Advisory Board which includes representatives of both parents and teachers.
The Advisory Board is responsible to the Board of Directors. An active PTA provides support and
valuable assistance to the school.
